Course title: Rope Evacuation from MHE and MEWP’s

Objective:    To train operators to safely evacuate from MHE and MEWP’s. 

                       To teach the correct techniques of evacuation from MHE

                       and MEWP’s. 

                       To use and operate the evacuation equipment in a safe and

                       correct manner, in accordance with current legislation and

                       codes of practice.

• Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992
• Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
• Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
• Working at Height Regulations (as amended) 2005
• Identification of components
• Care and inspection of equipment
• Fitting and pre-descent checks of equipment
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Operational Safety Techniques
• Descents from low, medium and high levels
• Practical Assessment 

Rope Evacuation from MHE and MEWP’s

Target Group:                      This course covers the practical skills and is

                                            aimed at all MHE operators who work at height,

                                            we run courses for all operators during the

                                            working week or weekends to suit.

Requirements:                     None – good physical and mental health

Duration:                             1 DAY

Course Size:                        This course is run with a maximum class size of 6

Location:                             On-site at customer premises subject to

                                            availability of adequate facilities.

Certificated Course:                 

An MTR Training (UK) certificate will be issued upon successful completion of

the practical assessment this is valid for 1 year.
